Rooster's Blues House History:

​Scott Michael, owner of Rooster's Blues House, has lived a life as colorful as the music he loves. Once known as Rooster T. Feathers in the boxing world, his grit carried into a career in security, founding Velvet Hammer and later Titan Security, serving major artists like U2 and The Rolling Stones. Though his business thrived, Scott longed to return to his musical roots. A true blues enthusiast, he envisioned a space where music, food, and soul collide. That dream became Rooster's Blues House in Oxford MS, a rustic juke joint-style venue in a former Hallmark store, complete with tin walls and mason jar lights. Now open on South Highland in Memphis, Rooster’s continues to honor Mississippi blues with live music and an inviting vibe. Scott, now also a writer, brings the same passion to his novel Mississippi Blues Killer, combining mystery and his deep love for the culture that shaped him.
